The Stag’s Head is a Grade II listed public house on Orsman Road, in Hoxton.

It was built in 1936 for Truman’s Brewery, and designed by their in-house architect A. E. Sewell.

It was Grade II listed in 2015 by Historic England.

An earlier pub with the same name had stood on the site since at least 1856 and had strong links with the nearby Grand Union/Regent’s Canal.

THE LEGEND featuring Tom Hardy

The Stags Head was used to film scenes for the movie “Legend,” which depicts the story of the Kray twins. Tom Hardy starred as both Reggie and Ronnie Kray in the film.

The Netflix Series

The pub was featured as one of the filming locations in the popular Netflix series, with its exterior used in the show.

At one stage early in the series, a stressed-out Donny is seen walking to The Heart pub to begin a shift. IRL, the pub’s exterior belongs to The Stag’s Head in Hoxton.
